  My family and I, which consisted of 4 adults and 2 children under 2 yrs of age decided to go to the Sportsman's Rest for Sunday lunch. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived. We we given a choice of tables to choose from as we had small children.
  
  The lunches arrived promptly with a varied selection of vegetables and was asked if we required more to just ask. The portions were more than ample and the quality of food was excellent. The gravy was home-made and to the right viscosity, not runny water like some places provide.
  
  Sandra the Landlady introduced herself and made us feel very welcome.
  
  We were to full to have pudding, but stayed for the outside entertainment of a band and bouncy castle in the beer garden.
  
  Would definitely return and highly recommend to anyone.

  Lovely meal, varied vegetarian selection. Obviously freshly cooked. Excellent friendly service . Also very good beer and wine selection. Will be back.

  Great food, great location, and lovely staff. Live quite local so visit here quite often, and have not had a bad experience here yet. Even when busy there is rarely much of a wait on food, and it is always great. Lovely spot in the summer and great for some nice walks nearby too.
